Privacy Policy

Portfolio Tools is a private, personal-use desktop application used by its owner to maintain a portfolio-monitoring workbook in Google Sheets.
Google user data accessed
Portfolio Tools may access Google Sheets data in spreadsheets explicitly authorized by the owner. It may also access Google Drive file metadata needed to identify the intended Google Sheet and verify file-level access and capabilities.
How the data is used
Google user data is used only to operate the owner's portfolio-monitoring workflow, including reading workbook state, updating the intended workbook, verifying the target file and its access permissions, and confirming the result of authorized operations.
Storage and retention
Portfolio Tools does not operate a third-party hosted application backend. OAuth credentials and local workflow artifacts are stored on the owner's computer. Portfolio and audit information may also be retained in the owner's Google Sheet and in local records used to support reconciliation, verification, and auditability.
Sharing and advertising
Portfolio Tools does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising, or share Google user data with third parties for independent commercial purposes.
Security
The application is designed to request only the Google authorization needed for its workflow and to keep reusable authorization credentials on the owner's local computer. Access can be revoked through the owner's Google Account permissions.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Portfolio Tools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
